A graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and business administration, Michele Niklaus serves as a volunteer with Mommies Matter. Michele Niklaus fills various roles for the organization, which is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, and she plays a key role in helping the nonprofit achieve its goal of removing barriers to empower single mothers in crisis.

Ms. Niklaus’ work has included acting as an administrative assistant to raise awareness of the nonprofit’s work among local parishes. She also helps expecting mothers organize their baby showers, which includes securing suitable locations, creating guest lists, sending invitations, and helping the mothers compile wish lists for the big event.

Beyond her work with Mommies Matter, Michele Niklaus volunteers with the Columbus Catholic Women's Conference, which is the largest Catholic women’s conference in the United States. She has served as the group’s Co-Director in 2013, 2020 & 2021, has managed vendors & organizations in 2015 and 2016, and has worked as a sponsorship chair in 2012 and 2019, where she took part in fundraising activities for the organization.
